On Feb. 14, 2017, several couples enjoyed a Valentine’s Day luncheon at Life Care Center of Bridgeton, Missouri.

Long-term residents and short-term rehab patients alike could invite their spouses to join them for a meal of prime rib, twice-baked potatoes, asparagus, dinner rolls and red velvet cake. Tables were decorated with candles and flowers.

This is the second year Life Care Center of Bridgeton has offered this event.

“The residents seem to enjoy the event, and the associates look forward to seeing the couples together enjoying each other on Valentine’s Day,” said Julie Collins, executive director.

“It was really a wonderful day,” said resident Martha Waigand. “It was a wonderful meal, and it was nice to be able to celebrate together.”
